Why spend the winter in the Marina Alta from inland
In winter the coast has fewer visitors and the Benidoleig valley is quiet. Dénia does not close: it is a town with residents all year, and the centre is about 20 minutes by car. From AUMARA you go out to Dénia, to Xàbia or into the mountains and come back to a house that is only yours.
People looking for where to spend the winter on the Costa Blanca usually see flats by the sea. This is the other base: a complete house inland in the Marina Alta, a short drive from Dénia. It works for several weeks in a row, and also for someone who wants to get to know the area at an easy pace.

The houses
A whole house for weeks, not a room
Every booking at AUMARA is a complete house. The entrance is yours and the space is for you and the people who come with you: the Chalet for up to 3 people and the Superior Chalet for up to 6. There is no row of rooms here. If fewer of you come, the house is not split: it stays whole.
There are six geodesic houses, and all six can be booked. The place is the same in autumn and in winter: geodesic houses in the Marina Alta, with paths between them and the valley in front. Before you choose dates you can walk the place on the home page.
The monthly stays on this page are starting prices, VAT included. In direct booking you see whether those nights in a row are free and which conditions apply to that range.
The houses are heated with air conditioning. During a stay, bed linen and towels are changed once a week. High-speed internet in every house. Each house has a work desk.

What to do in winter near AUMARA
The Cueva de las Calaveras is near AUMARA, about 300 m away. Visiting hours change with the time of year: check them on the cave's official website before you go.
The Seguili Trail (PR-CV 445) starts at Benidoleig town hall. The official FEMECV sheet gives 11.68 km, about 470 m of ascent and about 4 h 05. Winter is a good time to walk in the Marina Alta: the days are shorter and the inland paths are quieter than in August.
Montgó is reached from the Ermita del Pare Pere, about 25 minutes by car. The natural park publishes waymarked routes, including the ruta naranja. The Serra de Segària is in the same area, for anyone who wants another summit without going down to the coast.
Dénia, about 20 minutes by car, brings together the castle above the old town, the port and the Baix la Mar quarter. On the beach, Platja de les Deveses is about 15 minutes by car and Platja de les Marines about 20 minutes. Platja de l'Arenal, in Xàbia, is about 25 minutes by car and about 22 km.
